A Christian ministry, open to all people, that fosters human development by addressing the housing needs of Central Appalachia – repairing homes for 400-500 low-income families. Our goal is to make homes warmer, safer, and drier for families in need, while offering transformational experience for families, volunteers and staff alike.
While ASP is a youth-oriented mission project, we are also looking for adults to chaperon and drive. It is recommended to have one adult male and one adult female per team. Each team consists of a minimum of four and a maximum of seven people.
We are anticipating four teams again this year, and possibly more. Any youth or adults interested in participating, please contact Butch Barton. For more information on Appalachia Service Project, go to www.asphome.org.
