Lexington Park is a prayer concerned church keeping a
running account of individual needs. Prayer requests are received
and made available to the congregation, in general, through the
weekly bulletin. Also, a prayer chain has been organized by the UMW
and the Caring Committee to receive and pray immediately for urgent
requests. A weekly prayer breakfast is held each Wednesday where
attention is given to requests for prayer for needy persons. A
"Praise and Prayer Service" is held each Wednesday evening and
prayer is made for known needs of every situation. It is gratifying
to publish an account of answered prayers of people who are moved
from the "request" section to the "Praise" section in our weekly
bulletin.
Prayer Tree
The prayer tree consists of dedicated church members who are “on call” to pray when a need arises within the church family. Members can be on the phone or e-mail branches of the tree.
