About Us
Welcome to Lexington Park UMC!

Everybody is warmly welcomed at LPUMC. One of the strengths of our church is that we have members from a wide variety of ethnic, denominational, and economic backgrounds. Ph.D. engineers often worship next to residents of the homeless shelter.

People who want their church to be on the “front lines” rather than insulated and isolated from the world find this body of Christ especially stimulating to their faith walk. A quick check through our web site will show that LPUMC is busily involved in ministry seven days a week 365 days a year. No matter your gift, there are always opportunities for service here.

The Scripture says we should clothe the naked. Our Clothing Closet is doing that and more. The Scripture says we should feed the hungry. We do that every Wednesday. The Scripture says we should give shelter to the homeless. LPUMC helped to get the WARM program up and running and actively participates in this program that gives warm food and sanctuary to the homeless during the cold months of the year.

We do so much more than serve. We understand that Christians need to inhale as well as exhale the Spirit. That’s why we put so much emphasis on worship, Sunday School, and small groups for all ages here. Our worship and study inspires us to serve. Our service drives back to the Word and worship.

Again, welcome to the LPUMC web site. We pray that we will get the chance to greet you in the name of Jesus very soon.

In Christ,
Pastor Doug Hays
